From now on my journal will be "friends only" because people seem to think they're wanted in places they aren't.

I will lay down my heart

Well, today wasn't that bad actually. I woke up with a major headache, and generally felt like shit. I think my immune system is in the process of being beat up by a cold. It's almost to the point of acceptance. I can tell this because my left ear is itchy, not the kind where you just scratch it. But the kind deep down inside, letting you know that something is wrong... ie I'm going to get an ear infection soon. So we have that to look forward to. But it was a pretty relaxing day at work, not a whole lot going on.

Tomorrow should be nice to. At 7pm the MC Crew + friends are going to go to El Chico for dinner. Ryan, Ben and I are going to get shitfaced! Haha! That should be fun. But I guess I can't get too drunk because...

And guess who will be at Walmart at 11pm? Me (and Kris, because I'll be slightly intoxicated, and he's buying it for me)! :) So tomorrow will be a good day. Hopefully I can go to bed early again, I need to catch up on some sleep. I will be doing a lot of sleeping this weekend.

Oh, and on Saturday at 2:00 I will be taking a class so that I can get my Concealed Weapons Permit. Yup, that means I'm gonna shoot yo ass in the face ;) I guess it will just be nice to have, I don't really know if I would ever actually carry it someplace though.

So I finished Harry Potter today at work. I have to say, it could be my favorite of all 5 books so far. The only thing I didn't like was the last two or three pages. WTF. Harry was all "OMG my life sucks" and then he was like "well, have a great summer, bye!" And that's it. I was waiting for more. I wanted to know what happened to Professor Umbridge, Fudge, and I want something to happen between Harry and Snape. I wanted Harry to go up to Snape and be like look I'm not my father so get over it. And Draco is totally going to be a Death Eater when he grows up.

I walked 2 miles around 4 pm today. Not on purpose. I went to the courthouse to file some papers, and then over to the capital to deliver something to the Office of Attorney General. This person was no longer located in that particular building, but 1 mile away. So I walked from the capital, passed Gaines St. It was the work walk I've ever taken in my whole entire life. And when I got back to the office, there was another run to the Capital. I was like FUCK THAT SHIT, it's waiting until tomorrow morning :)

Almost done with Harry Potter 5. I have less than 100 pages left to go, but I won't finish it tonight. I don't want to be up all night and then not be able to function at work tomorrow. So I assume I will either finish it tomorrow at work on my down time, or tomorrow evenning after the gym.

It's super good though. I am so excited for the 6th book. Granted, Amanda will get it and read it within approximately 19 hours and hang it over my head that I have not completed it in a "timely manner"... even though I do hold a full time job. All she has to do is take off one night from World of Warcraft. :)

Work tomorrow... blah. Lots of stuff to do this week. During lunch I have to drop off a check for our letterhead that came in - finally! Then on Wednesday I need to get my nails filled, they're looking rough. Ah yes, more spending money. At least I have a bunch saved up, for me to spend later of course :)

Hum diddy

I've been reading Order of the Pheonix lately, and I've really been getting into it. I'm almost halfway through. Whenever I can at work, I read there and then when I get home after the gym or whatever. I will probably read a lot this weekend, I've read a lot today already, with the hurricane and all. Haha. Kris said he would buy me the new Harry Potter book when it comes out. I told him he didn't have to pre-order because I wasn't going to be done with this one in time. Who knows.

Went to Walmart and Publix today and spent a good $100. Had to get some basic stuff - paper towels, shampoo, tp, face soap... all that stuff that seems to add up very quickly. So since I spent so much, I will have to wait a few days to get my nails filled. Maybe Wednesday? Who knows. Pay day on Friday! Who's getting $612??? ME! :)

Nothing too interesting has been going on. The new guy at work is pretty cool. Brandi has been really bitchy to me lately, I don't know why. The fill-in receptionist is FUCKING DRIVING ME NUTS. I might actually ring her neck before she's done next Friday. Thank the lord, only four more days of her. But each day seems like a week.

Since the whole London-bombing thing, I have to wonder. When 9/11 happened, did people in other countries have an attitude of "well it's scary, but atleast it isn't us?" Because that's the attitude I seem to be having. Not that I don't care, because I really do. I'm actually quite interested about the link between that and the G8 meetings and perhaps even the announcement of London for the olympics. But it seems as the days move on, even though CNN is on in every lawyer's office throughout the day, I forget that it happened. It's not like 9/11, where for weeks at a time it's all that was talked about. It's almost as if it's not important news. Oh it happened... but in other news the missing teen in Aruba, her mother got mad, so we have to report about that, cause it's important. Get what I'm saying? Maybe that's what it was like for people in other countries when 9/11 happened... it horrible, but they weren't us and they just kept going. On msn.com, it's not even a huge headline. "Bellying up to the Redneck Games" has it's own picture and headline on the rotating picture reel, right before "Ten odd college courses."

How exciting is this...

Faith Hill: Fireflies due out Aug 2, Hilary Duff: Most Wanted due out Aug 16.

How great is August going to be??? A Hilary Duff concert, and two new albums coming out that I'm looking forward to. Score.

Went to the gym today. Really slow at work, not too many people there today, the parking lot was somewhat empty. Started getting into Harry Potter & The Order of The Pheonix. It's getting good and I'm only on page 90ish. Must keep reading... only 3940850293804928039 more pages to go.

Super sleepy... so I think I will go pass out and hopefully tomorrow will be slow at work again so that I can read :) Of course, the one day that I didn't lug that big book around is the one day that I could have actually read for a good three hours throughout the morning and afternoon. Sarah comes back tomorrow, and the new guy comes in from 8-1... and he's pretty nice, even though he's an R (aka Republican).

PS - people always think they've got it made in the shade, and that they have experience doing things in real life. Psh. No one really has experience until they're dead, and then it's too late.

I love my lil hammies

I just got approved for the AmEx Delta Skymiles card with a credit limit of $3000!!! That's $2500 more than my limit now. Wowsa! I might have to call and have them lower it, but we'll see how it goes at first. Hopefully I can control myself. 0:)

I miss Tootles, that little bitch. I miss her lil face. Kris and I went to the Broward County Humane Society the other day, to just play with the animals. And I wanted to see this white cat, Cool Whip. So I had to fill out paper work and all that and then a lady called me into a room and was asking my lots of questions about adoption. And then I said "well I really just want to play with them" and she said that I'm not allowed to unless I plan on "adopting them for sure." Adopting them for sure? What if I didn't find the right one? What if I was just browsing? WTF? Stupid lady with a beard. Poor kitties. I just wanted to play with them and give them some kisses.

I got this amazing stuff at Bath & Body Works for your cuticles... and my nails have never looked so good!

Work tomorrow. Blah. Atleast the new guy starts tomorrow so we'll have some extra help! Much better than Thursday and Friday, when I was THE ONLY ONE WORKING. That didn't turn out so well.
